Dr. Setarehshenas is a Board- Licensed Clinician providing therapeutic services in Los Angeles, California. She specializes in the early identification and intervention of childhood developmental challenges and treatment of emotional and behavioral challenges including: anxiety, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit disorder (ADHD), oppositional defiant disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma, social skills deficits, self-esteem, trauma, and school dynamics, with focus on the impact of parenting dynamics on the child and the broader family system. She treats children, teenagers, individuals, and families facing diverse mental health concerns, and offers parent coaching. She works with individuals to meet each client’s unique needs to promote overall well-being toward meaningful healing and personal growth.
Dr. Setarehshenas's professional background includes a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology (M.A.) with a specialization in child development, she is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) #126574. Dr. Setarehshenas has over a decade experience in treating children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral challenges in schools, providing support with school IEP's, and working with parents and families. She specializes in ADHD, Autism, OCD, anxiety, trauma, and oppositional defiant behaviors, and has additional trainings in play therapy and ABA, including TF-CBT. She has provided therapeutic care in diverse settings including inpatient and private practice.
Dr. Setarehshenas's office location is in central LA. She offers in-person sessions and telehealth sessions for clients residing in California, as well as play therapy for younger children. Dr. Setarehshenas works with children as young as 3 years old, adolescents, and families, to navigate challenges and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships. She works together with individuals to improve communication, resolve conflicts, strengthen relationships, and work on emotional and behavioral challenges.
Dr. Setarehshenas works closely with parents/caregivers and their child through navigating behavioral challenges with their child with interventions and resources, helping empower parents at home and to effectively advocate for their child's needs within the educational environment and with IEP's.
Modalities can include: CBT, TF-CBT, DBT, PCIT, ERP, Family systems, behavioral and Play Therapy.
Sessions are 50 minutes in duration and available both in-person and via telehealth for clients residing in California.
While not in-network with insurance providers, a superbill can be provided for reimbursement purposes if necessary, please contact to discuss session fees, sliding scale can be offered.
