My name is Dr. Shirin Setarehshenas, I am a Board- Licensed Clinician providing therapeutic services in Los Angeles, California. I specialize in the early identification and intervention of childhood developmental challenges, anxiety, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit disorder (ADHD), obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma, social skills deficits, and school dynamics. Additionally, I have expertise in trauma-informed care, with a particular focus on the impact of parenting dynamics on the child and the broader family system. I treat children, teenagers, and families facing mental health concerns, and offer parent coaching.
My therapeutic approach is personalized to meet each client’s unique needs. I create a safe, supportive environment for clients to explore their concerns, develop coping strategies, and promote overall well-being toward meaningful healing and personal growth. Whether addressing anxiety, ADHD, peer issues, trauma, or other challenges, I use evidence-based methods to treat both symptoms and underlying causes. My goal is to help you regain balance and achieve meaningful change with clarity and emotional resilience.
My professional background includes a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Child Development (M.A.). I am a Board-Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) #126574. I have extensive experience providing therapeutic care in diverse settings, including schools, inpatient facilities, and private practice. One of my main areas of practice is cognitive behavior therapy (CBT). I offer talk therapy and play therapy, with sessions in-person and telehealth sessions for clients residing in California.

Each session is 50 minutes in duration and is available both in-person and via telehealth for clients residing in California.
While I am not in-network with insurance providers, I am able to provide a superbill for reimbursement purposes if necessary, please contact me to discuss sessions fee, I offer a sliding scale.
